A wearable pendant or wristband connects to a 24-hour response team at the press of a button, and the device is designed to recognise a hard fall and raise an alert automatically if the wearer cannot press it. It is a subscription service, with a one-off setup cost and a monthly monitoring fee. This is not medical or emergency advice, and it does not replace calling 999 in a serious emergency.
